FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I sit or lay down to meditate?
Either! Whatever is the most comfortable for your body. And that might change from class to class, depending on how your body is feeling on the day.
You have the option to lay on the yoga mat, sit upright (either on the mat or with your back against the wall) or if it’s better for your body to sit in a chair, there is a recliner chair in the room also.
You may find you prefer to switch positions throughout the class. Kate is there to help and support you to be at your most comfortable, and will assist you to find a meditation position that feels good for you.
There are also props (bolsters, blankets, cushions) available to use, to best support your body.
I’m new to meditation/I’ve only used apps before. Is that ok?
Absolutely. The majority of class members are beginners. The meditations have been designed for all levels of meditation experience and within every class, there are some foundational relaxation techniques, to assist you in your meditation journey - not only in class, but in life.
Like learning any new skill, it takes time. You are teaching your body and brain to function in a new way. Consistency is key and you will find regular classes will deepen your experience.
