WHAT IS CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY?

The aim of hypnosis is to move you into your desired goal or outcome. It is a gentle therapy focused on your current being, and moving forward into positive change. Moving you from “I think I can” to “I know I can”.

What the mind agrees to, the body will respond to. Whatever you can imagine, hold in your mind and feel as real, can become real.

Your conscious and unconscious mind are coached into communication by me, your therapist. Finding your true feelings, clarity, values and what you truly want.

Clinical hypnotherapy is a communication process by which the conscious mind and unconscious mind agree. A hypnotherapist doesn’t hold any mystical power! All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. A hypnotherapist guides you to alter your own hypnotic state.

And fun fact – hypnosis in its many forms (the use of trance, prayer and meditation) has been used for thousands of years.


WHAT IS TRANCE STATE?

When your thoughts wander when you listen to a conversation, or perhaps you get caught up in listening to music or daydreaming, you are in an altered state – a natural trance state. If you have ever become entranced when watching a movie or reading something and oblivious to other things around you, you enter a trance state.

We all go through altered state of consciousness or brain wave patterns regularly throughout the day and when you go to sleep at night.

That altered state of consciousness, or hypnosis, is a deep state of relaxation for your mind and body, similar to the relaxation you experience in a meditation.

Hypnosis is a state of consciousness, not a state of unconsciousness.  During a hypnosis session, you are awake and aware of what’s going on. You are not asked to talk. You can hear everything and know where you are. You’re able to move and adjust at any time and if you need, you can open your eyes.

You are deeply relaxed, enabling communication to your unconscious mind – where wisdom, memories and change exist.

Clinical hypnotherapy sessions are 1 hour, at Project Soul in Panania.

SESSION COST?

$130.00 incl gst

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

A minimum of 3 sessions is required. If more sessions are required after that, it will be discussed at the third session.

I completed a series of hypnotherapy sessions with Kate and I found it to be one of the most valuable things I’ve ever done.
I wanted to be able to better manage my reactions to circumstances and ‘life happenings’ and I am definitely doing better than I used to.
I know there’s a method, but for me it was just sitting and relaxing and letting her beautiful voice and her skills do the work.
